One Dead In Shooting Involving Two Officers In Prince George's County, Police Say (Developing)

One person was killed in a shooting involving two police officers in Prince George’s County on Tuesday morning, Jan. 30, according to authorities and developing reports.

The New Carrollton Police Department responded to the critical incident near the 7500 block of Annapolis Road shortly before 8:15 a.m., they said.

Maryland Attorney General Anthony G. Brown confirmed a fatal officer-involved shooting and held a press conference during the late morning across from 7575 Annapolis Road. 

A staging area had been set up a few blocks down the road near the intersection with 76th Avenue and Annapolis Road.
